The seat has a zipper on the bottom that allows you to take the hump pad on and off within only a few seconds.   When on the bike it holds the rider in very tight and is great for the hardcore drag racer for those hard launches. It is designed to use the rear cowl as support and not something you would want to use without the cowl in place.
