Must Know Information About Chroming These Parts
These are one of the most difficult items on a Hayabusa to have chromed. Buy these from a company you can trust! And be sure to ask questions before buying! There are a few common problems. If the glass is left in during the chroming process they will come back a dull milky color and look horrible. If removed before chroming and reinstalled after chroming a leak is highly likely wether from the initial install or a very very slow leak around the site glass over time. We've seen them as slow as one drop every couple of weeks! Brake fluid can ruin a paint job in a hurry! In light of this we have decided to weld all of our site glasses shut. Looks much nicer and no worries with a leak ever! Also if the inside of the cylinders are not honed out well and smooth the seals in the plunger will wear out prematurely and your brakes will eventually end up failing! As with any OEM chrome part is may be necessary to file or sand in certain areas for a proper fit. If this is the case give us a by all means we can help!

The area where the site glass has been welded will have small spots/imperfections and possibly very light waves. The chromers have informed us that this is unavoidable and that the pieces can not be ran through the chrome process a second time without becoming useless. Still by far the best option when chroming these parts! We've had customers epoxy coins in this area in the past.
